Alix Keil was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA where she began dancing at the age of 3. Her passion for Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Musical Theater and Voice ultimately led her to train at Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. During High School Alix was nominated for a Gene Kelly Award for Best Actress two years in a row and was a finalist for the Pittsburgh Shakespeare competition. She spent two summers participating in the Point Park International Summer Dance Intensive studying with Kiesha Lalama, Kevin Maloney, Susan Stowe and others. Alix attended the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts where she majored in Modern Dance. She was also fortunate enough to be accepted into the prestigious School at Jacob's Pillow where she studied for a summer with Chet Walker, Dana Moore, and Bill Hastings. In 2007 Alix moved to Columbus, OH to major in Modern Dance at The Ohio State University with professors such as Bebe Miller, Karen Elliot, Abigail Yager, Susan Ming-Lung Yang, Susan Hadley, and others. After graduating from OSU with a BA in Strategic Communication and minors in Dance and Political, Alix continued her love of dance through teaching, performing, and choreographing a handful of musicals.
Alix currently resides in Rogers where she does Shopper Marketing for Geometry Global on the Coca-Cola account. Alix is also actively involved in the Arkansas Public Theater where she was most recently seen in Cabaret as Fraulein Kost and in The Addams Family as Morticia Addams.
